This is a blog about self-publishing, children’s books, and me (Anne Emerick). Posts may be about one, two or all three of these topics. The picture on the left of my header, me in kindergarten. I loved books. The picture on the right, me more recently. I still love children’s books. I think sometimes I write children’s stories, so I can feel good about consuming more kid’s books than adult ones.

I am the author of Poster Girl, a self-published (Aboon Books is just another name for me) chapter book, and have two other completed stories that I’m waiting to get out there. I work a day job and have two sons, mostly grown, but still a lot of things that pull me away from writing and publishing.

I welcome questions about self-publishing, particularly self-publishing children’s book.
