Writing for Children — Where’s the Best Place to Learn?

In an earlier post, I highly recommended SCBWI, in particular the conferences they hold. Another great source of info on writing for children is a husband/wife pair that run a website, newsletter, and several ebooks — Write4Kids.com. Write4Kids offers the total package of very basic information for folks new to the business of writing for children, up to very specific publishing information, such as editors changing jobs. Laura Backes of Write4Kids also runs Writing Bootcamps with Linda Arms White, though these only happen a few times a year and may not be possible logistically for you, details are at www.wemakewriters.com.
